Values Defined
Beneficial - Doing something that helps or improves someone's life or situation.
Ethical - Making choices and behaving in a way that is fair, honest, and follows the rules and principles of what is right and wrong.
Supportive - Being there for someone, offering help, encouragement, or understanding to assist them in their journey.
Transparent - Being open, honest, and clear about actions, intentions, and information, leaving no hidden or secret motives.
Value Guideline
When unsure if your actions align with ABA Village Care’s Core Values, think through the following guidelines. If what you are doing aligns with all four, then you are making the BEST option possible.
Beneficial
Ask yourself, "Is what I'm doing benefiting those around me?" Pursuing benefits leads us to the BEST choices, whether it is for our clients, the agency, society, or ourselves.
Ethical
Pause and contemplate, "Is my behavior aligned with ethical principles?" Only by adhering to the highest ethical standards can we achieve our BEST in every aspect of our work.
Supportive
Reflect, "Am I supporting those around me, including myself?" As a supportive community, we nurture growth and well-being for all, and seeking support when needed is a testament to doing your BEST.
Transparent
Ask yourself, "Am I being transparent in my data, notes, and documentation?" When we act with honesty and openness, we showcase our dedication to doing the BEST possible for every situation.
